NELSON

Nelson is about to host the ultimate Australian supporter's group - The Great Crusade. The Great Crusade is a tour across scenic New Zealand, following the Qantas Wallabies as they take on the world.

The tour will consist of 25 campervans and take in the best the country has to offer, including vineyards, mountain ranges and beaches, bungee jumping, jet boating, thermal springs, plus, concerts and plenty of buzzing nightlife.

The Great Crusade camoervans will roll into Nelson tomorrow morning (Friday 30th September) fresh from the Cook Strait ferry crossing on the Interislander. While in Nelson they will be staying at Tahunanui Camping Ground, and getting right into the festivities around town.

The Great Crusade team are joined by their own band, a celebrity chef, famed comedian Toby Withers, a 7 person film crew plus surprise Australian guests who have so far included supermodel Miranda Kerr and Wallabies legend John Eales. Each campervan is manned by a prizewinning duo who must blog, tweet and Facebook about their experiences everyday. Their daily YouTube clips are averaging 55,000 hits which is a fantastic hit rate – especially in such a key market for Nelson Tasman Tourism as Australia.
