COCA-COLA Truck Delivers Doses of Delight to Rugby World Cup 2011 Fans

Over the past few weeks, unsuspecting Rugby World Cup 2011 fans have been treated to doses of delight delivered by the COCA-COLA Happiness Truck and All Black legend, Tana Umaga.
Although it looked like a standard red COCA-COLA delivery truck, the COCA-COLA Happiness Truck didn’t transport just the usual soft drinks and beverages; instead it dispensed special consignments to Rugby fans at key Rugby World Cup 2011 locations.
A large, round, red button located on the back of the truck to entice passers by to participate. Anyone who pushed the button was treated to a special surprise such as a bottle of COCA-COLA, a bunch of flowers, a Rugby ball and even a red bike!
Queues of people waiting to push the button formed quickly, with the crowds cheering and laughing with delight as they watched people receive a steady flow of surprising gifts.
One lucky lady had the biggest shock of all when Tana Umaga leapt from the back of the truck to hand her a bouquet of flowers. And a gentleman and his son were overjoyed when they received a pair of tickets to the semi-finals of Rugby World Cup 2011.
Tana Umaga said, “I was delighted to be involved with the COCA-COLA Happiness Truck. It’s a great event designed to treat the fans of Rugby World Cup 2011 and celebrate this amazing Tournament with them. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to bring a bit of extra happiness and fun to someone’s day”.
All of the excitement was captured for a short film that launches today at https://www.facebook.com/CocaColaNZ?sk=app_157367391019423 and will be shared with fans at COKE Rugbyfest at Hagley on 9 October.
