Wellington Police are again pleased with RWC fans at the Ireland versus Wales quarter final match at the Wellington Regional Stadium tonight.

Wellington District RWC Operation Commander Inspector Simon Perry says there was only one arrest and eight evictions at the game.

"We're again pleased with the behaviour of the fans, who have enjoyed another great game of rugby this evening."

Inspector Perry says those heading into the city should look after themselves and their mates and ensure they have a plan to make it home safe at the end of the night.

"A large number of Police staff are working in and around the city this evening, to ensure RWC fans have an enjoyable and safe evening."
