Rotorua best destination for family holiday

Kiwis have voted Rotorua New Zealand’s best destination for a long weekend away with the kids. Rotorua’s top placing was revealed in a survey of more than 6000 New Zealanders carried out by accommodation booking website Wotif.

Wotif Brands general manager Megan Magill said when it came to a family getaway for Labour Weekend Rotorua was the hot favourite.

“It has something for every member of the family with theme parks, luges, water activities, the lake, and plenty of cultural experiences.

Other top five long weekend family destinations rated behind Rotorua in the Wotif survey were Queenstown, Auckland, Taupo/Ruapehu and Bay of Plenty.
