Older members of Napier Library will get the chance to share and keep up to date with their favourite authors and books over a cuppa thanks to a new service offered at Napier Library.

The new service, called ‘Elderberry Book Chat’, will be held free of charge on the first Wednesday of every month from 10.30am-11.30am at Napier Library.

Napier Library Customer Services Librarian, Sylvia McKenna says customers are always on the lookout for new authors and titles and Elderberry Book Chat gives them a chance to chat to staff and their peers about the next great read.

The chat group will be lead by Librarian, Eliz Mayes, who says she is looking forward to sharing her favourite authors and titles as well as others recommended by library staff.

“We’ll also talk about the new books that are arriving on the shelves every day,” Eliz says. “Book Chat participants are invited to share their favourite authors and book titles too.”

The first Book Chat will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. For more information please phone Napier library on 834 4180 or just turn up!
