DOC (Department of Conservation) staff with the assistance of Oiled Spill response teams and Project Jonah have successfully refloated 2 Gray's beaked whales which stranded at Papmoa beach this afternoon.
One juvenile whale that had stranded has died and has been taken for post mortem.
