The Palmerston North Performing Arts Trust is now offering funding through the Arts Heart Educational Development Project Scheme.

The scheme is designed to provide funding for a performing arts organisation so that they may run an educational development project. The project must be aimed at encouraging and educating young performing artists at emerging and advanced levels in the Palmerston North region.

The educational project may take the form of a workshop, a master class, summer school or other educational opportunity targeted at a specific performing arts discipline.

Criteria for applicants include:

• The project must be held in the Palmerston North region and feature recognised professionals as tutors.

• Participants must come from the Palmerston North region.

• The project may culminate in a public performance.

• The successful project should take place within 12 months of the application being approved.

Applications close at 4.00pm on Friday 11 November 2011.

Organisations interested in applying for the funding should contact the Performing Arts Trust Secretary, Erin Rooney-Scotson on 06 356 8199, email erin.rooney-scotson@pncc.govt.nz or download the application form here.
