Films in the Forest

During November Scion is hosting a free film festival in Rotorua, featuring the best of the International Forest Film Festival.

The first screening on Thursday evening, 3 November, features the festival winner, Queen of the Trees. This beautifully-filmed documentary portrays the huge web of life supported by a single tree in Africa.

Magnificent forest films will be screened every week throughout November culminating in a special outdoor screening in the Redwood Grove on Wednesday evening, 23 November.

Two Redwood films from the US will be shown under the sails near the Redwood Visitor Centre. This outdoor event is made possible through support from the Rotorua District Council and Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
