Chair of the Producer Guild of America’s International Committee, Stu Levy, has confirmed he will attend the APN Symposium 2011 being held in Auckland 11-13 November.

Levy, who is based in Tokyo, will join delegates for the weekend programme, including attending and delivering a short address at the APN Forum to be held on Sunday 13 November at UNITEC Campus, Carrington Road, Mt Albert.

Alongside his PGA responsibilities, Levy is the founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of the manga media company, Tokyopop. He also produces, directs and writes for film, television and graphic novels.

The Asia-Pacific Producers’ Network (APN) Symposium is an annual three day meeting of major producers from the Asia-Pacific region being held in 2011, for the first time, in Auckland. The programme includes social, networking and business activities as well as a full day forum on 13 November in which regional production and collaboration issues will be discussed.

New Zealand industry representatives are able to register for the 13 November forum. Full details of the programme and online registration facilities can be found at www.filmauckland.com/apn
