A boutique accommodation business in the heart of Auckland’s trendy Beaumont Quarter has been placed on the market for sale.

Beaumontstay offers contemporary fully-furnished bed and breakfast style accommodation with three ensuite rooms for individual guests. It can also be rented out on a short tem basis as a four bedroom and four bathroom house.

The business is located across the road from the historic Victoria Park Market, with Ponsonby, the Viaduct Harbour and Wynyard Quarter just a short walk away. It is for sale by Bayleys with expressions of interest running through until December 8, being marketed by Bayleys salespeople Paul Dixon and Lisa Smyth.

Mr Dixon said the business would suit a buyer wishing to have the opportunity to operate a business which has a solid and regular income, and enjoy the lifestyle Auckland’s inner city has to offer at the same time.

“The new owner could operate the business themselves part-time and, if they wanted to, fit it around their work schedule at the same time,” Mr Dixon said.

“Alternatively a manager could be put in place and operate Beaumontstay on a part -time basis in return for accommodation. The owner would then have the choice of using the house when they choose for themselves.

“This alterative could be perfect for a couple or individual wishing to have the option of a larger house to accommodate family, but also earn an income from the premises when run as a business.

Beaumontstay features four fully-furnished queen ensuite bedrooms with flat screen televisions and full-sized wardrobes. Two of the bedrooms have private outdoors areas – one is situated on the top of the house while the other features a courtyard with barbeque.

Other facilities include a lounge opening out onto a balcony and equipped with television, CD/DVD player and drinks cabinet, a full sized kitchen with flow through to a dining area.

Guests also have access to the onsite leisure centre with, sauna, gymnasium, spa and heated pool.

There is also a study located alongside the front entrance with phone, fax and copying facilities which can be used for business meetings, as well as wireless broadband internet available on site.

Beaumontstay room rates start from $185 plus GST a night and up to $580 plus GST a night for the entire house.

Mr Dixon said the property had been operating as a commercial accommodation provider for three years.

“The Beaumontstay has proved to be a popular choice for domestic tourists, as well as corporate clients and overseas tourists. So much so the business has now reached a point after only 36 months where it is meeting the goals the owner put down as part of a five-year business plan.

“In addition, Beaumontstay has been Qualmark rated as a four star residence, reflecting the quality of its rooms, fittings, comfort, cleanliness, accessibility as well as the services it offers to visitors.

“The owner has worked hard to create immaculately presented accommodation which has been tastefully decorated with a Pacific-style theme.”
