But what makes these awards so special is seeing many of those we honoured at a junior and youth level go on to achieve at a senior level internationally in a wide range of different sports. The calibre of applicants is improving every year, so, if you know anyone who deserves to be recognised, send in their nomination.”

The Samoan Sports Awards will be presented at a special awards night at the Auckland Museum, on Saturday 18 February 2012. Nomination forms can be requested by emailing info@samoansports.co.nz. Nominations close Friday 9 December 2011.
