Community funding allocated – more than 100 groups to benefit

The Dunedin City Council’s latest funding round has been completed and the Community Assistance Sub-Committee, comprising of councillors and community representatives, has allocated funds of $171,288.00 to groups and organisations, from the community, recreation, youth, arts, environmental, cultural, heritage and events sectors.

The next Funding Round closes at 5.00 pm on Friday 30 March 2012. Application forms are available from DCC Customer Services Offices early February or on the DCC website or phone 477 4000.

The Community Events Grants were allocated as follows:

  • Otago Careers Festival $1,000.00
  • Dance Otakou Otago Inc $764.00
  • New Edinburgh Folk Club $2,000.00
  • Waikouaiti Amateur Music & Drama Society Inc $1,900.00
  • Dunedin North Rotary Club $2,880.00
