It's been a very busy few months for Waikato based company Move Managers who specialise in taking the
stress out of the process few people enjoy.

Established initially to assist older adults and baby boomers with decluttering, disposing of unwanted items and packing up prior to downsizing to retirement or apartment living, Move Managers have since found that these aren't the only people who need help. Busy professionals who are moving house or who aren't in a position to take a week away from work to pack, sort and make all the arrangements for an ageing parent are finding the service invaluable.

From two bed-roomed apartments to four bed-roomed villas complete with offices, Move Managers have packed, sorted arranged carriers, disposed of tons of house and garden rubbish, recycled scrap metal and arranged the donation of unwanted items and the sale of others to defray costs for their clients.

We'll make the calls, coordinate tradespeople on-site if you they can't be there, provide quotes and project manage every aspect of the job whether it's to clear a house to sale ready stage or sort out the spare room or garage,” owner Anne Carter says. She says several Waikato retirement villages, real estate and legal firms are now recommending the service to their clients including to those managing deceased estates.

“Our all woman team is Police checked and fully insured. We take great pride in what we do and it's an absolute delight to see the relief and pleasure on our clients' faces when they see everything packed, labelled and ready for pick up – rubbish removed, garden maintenance or commercial cleaners arranged if necessary. We'll even arrange for family photo albums to be copied to disc and sent to family members. It saves people so much time and stress.”
