Blenheim’s central shopping streets were never designed for busy traffic flows or the speed of today’s vehicles.
To keep the roads safe for both drivers and pedestrians, the Council has bylaws in place that restrict the speed limit to 30km an hour inside the CBD.
Vehicles using any of the narrow lanes inside the CBD must not travel any faster than 20km an hour.
