The Rees Hotel Queenstown Appoints Front Office Manager

The Rees Hotel is delighted to officially announce the appointment of Mel Bohse as Front Office Manager.

Ms Bohse joins The Rees management team from Spire Luxury Hotels Group, New Zealand where she was Hotel General Manager for five years.

During the course of her 25-year career, Ms Bohse became one of Australia’s foremost technology marketing and sales experts. Her technological and leadership skills were essential to the launch and growth of AltaVista in Australia, New Zealand, India and Korea. As Vice President of AltaVista Asia Pacific, Ms Bohse was one of the first female executives to be invited and accepted into the global network of Young Presidents Organisation (YPO).

As Managing Director of Overture Services Australia, Ms Boshe led the company when it was purchased globally by Yahoo and then oversaw its integration and rebranding to Yahoo Search Marketing.

An approach by Spire Luxury Hotels Group in 2006 saw Ms Boshe move into the hotel and hospitality market where she successfully established the Australian brand in New Zealand, winning many industry awards in the process.

Ms Boshe brings to The Rees a wealth of skills and contacts in the hospitality and tourism industries along with her strong background in marketing and management. She describes her management style as hands-on and is looking forward to the challenges of working for an independent business after working for multi-nationals.
