Elizabeth Marvelly joins rising stars in the Variety Hour @ 5pm.

Variety Ambassador Elizabeth Marvelly, Massad, Abby Lee, Variety Voices and Katie Scott and the Miss T’s are all confirmed to perform at “The Variety Hour at 5pm” on the Main stage on Saturday 21st January, 2012. The show will be MC’d by long standing Variety Ambassador Mark Wright.

Variety Ambassador Elizabeth Marvelly will perform with the Variety Voices performance group. The Kiwi songstress has enjoyed a remarkable career to date, having first taken the stage at 16 with Sir Howard Morrison. Since then, Elizabeth has performed in front of millions worldwide, including performances at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House. Elizabeth released her second album “Home” this year, which debuted on the Top 10 Albums Chart in New Zealand.

Other performers include soulful and emerging talent Abby Lee. Abby has just released her new single ‘Set You Free’. Rising star Massad will perform his hit single “Tear My Heart Out”, which peaked at #2 on the Independent New Zealand singles chart. Local stars in the making Katie Scott & The Miss T’s round out the talented line up. Variety friend Bronwyn Turei, Sister Kayla Turei and Katie Scott will perform their unique stripped-back cabaret-pop which they are fast becoming renown for.

BODYFX is New Zealand's leading face and body art company. With celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2011 they have been providing and promoting their art form throughout the world. Their award winning artists have been teaching worldwide and have now opened up a studio- school-shop in Kingsland, Auckland.
Bodyfx is no stranger to festivals as their innovative and interactive concepts are enjoyed by young and old. At Bloom they will be showcasing their art each day on the 2nd stage and teaching all who are interested through workshops on their stand throughout the day.

The Disney Village at BLOOM will enchant festi-goers with an extravaganza of Disney magic for kids and families to enjoy! Check out the Cars Zone with activities galore such as Cars bouncy castle, ride-on mini cars, board games and activities. and at the magical Disney Fairies Area, kids can plant their own seedling, enjoy facepainting, short movies, storytelling, costume dress-ups or just relax with their family. Magical Summer FUN for everyone is top of the BLOOM Family Festival agenda so prepare yourself for an abundance of neat treats. BLOOM is tailor made for all the family with activities from 1-17 year olds and adults 18+, whether that’s kicking back and enjoying the best of Kiwi music presented on the BLOOM main stage, or taking in other performances and activities within The Funky Fairground, Disney Village, The Magic Meadow, The Woodland Workout, Sports Village, Freestyle Skate Park, Horse Arena, Story Tellers’ Corner, a Variety’s Got Talent quest heats and a finale show, Royal New Zealand Ballet Explorer Workshop(fully funded by Lion Foundation), or chilling somewhere in the park to enjoy a cool soft drink or glass of wine, perhaps a cocktail while drink at Cocktail hour and some fab food.

BLOOM presents The Story-Tellers Corner with morning, afternoon and evening sessions offering live story-telling and workshops from some of New Zealand's leading children's illustrators and authors. Brian Falkner, Clare Scott, Maria Gill, Kathy White, Nina Rycroft, Sally Sutton, Craig Smith and more

Learning while you're having fun is a big part of what BLOOM is about. There are 12 different workshops happening throughout the Festival including Comedy (Jarred Fell), Ballet (Royal NZ Ballet), Sports (Skills & Drills with The Auckland Blues), and a whole lot more.

BLOOM Family Festival proudly presents over 30 music acts including Ladi6, Sola Rosa, Greg Johnson, The Thomas Oliver Band, Dave McArtney and the Pink Flamingos, The Babysitters Circus, The Nukes, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Drumania, The ConRays, Groovadelic Orchestra, Trudy Lile Band, The Lewis McCallum Quartet, Funkommunity, LatinAotearoa, Orquesta Amadeus, Atsushi and the Mini Moisties.

Funky Fairground has a mammoth 13 meter Water Slide, Mini Jeeps, Water Balls, Obstacle course, Maze, Chair-O-Plane, Climbing Wall, Bouncy Castles and more!

Magic Meadow is full of magical fun, entertainment and games from the Toy World Tent, including illustration workshops and the Story Tellers' Corner with Brian Falkner, Tim Tipene and many more of NZ's favourite children's writers.

‘Youthtown Big Top Art Tent’ – Get creative with Mask making, Crazy hats, Face-painting, Photo booth, dress up, Painting on Perspex, Air-brush tattoos, Lantern making, Umbrella & Sunhat painting, hand-painted flags or Kite making!

Fuse Circus of Wellington presents the Campground Chaos Evening Circus Shows plus Daily Circus Workshops and demos.

Performances and Dance Explorer workshops from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Fully funded by the Lion Foundation.

BLOOM-ing Magic & Comedy Shows: Jarred Fell, Simon McKinney and Jamie Bowen plus a special Magic Show and Workshops with Jarred Fell.

Woodland Workout with an Assault Course, Adult and Kids Paint Ball, Archery, RC Battle ships, Air Rifle Shooting, WW2 Jeep Rides, Confidence Course, Combat Stretcher Race.

The Sports Village' includes a freestyle skate park, Skills and Drills with The (Auckland) Blues, Training clinics with the NZ Breakers, Weekend Workshops with NZ Football and Northern District Cricket

Old MacDonald's Mobile Farm will be there with a special version of their farmyard exclusively for BLOOM so the kids can get up close to their favourite animals.
