Video clips of yearlings heading to New Zealand Bloodstock's National Yearling Sales Series continue to be posted online with entries from vendors including Hallmark Stud, Westbury Stud, Rich Hill Stud and Wentwood Grange now on the NZB website.

A leading vendor at Karaka, Hallmark Stud has seen one of its foundation families produce some prolific performers on the track in recent seasons with progeny from Miss Distinction (Blechencore) proving to be highly talented performers.

Miss Distinction is the dam of the dual Group 1 winning mare Gee I Jane (Jahafil) who won the Group 1 Telegraph Handicap and the Group 1 BTC Cup in Australia in 2006. She is also the dam of Miss Jessie Jay (Spectacularphantom), a Group 3 winner, who in turn is the dam of the Champion 2YO Banchee (Oratorio) and Champion 3YO Katie Lee (Pins).

The 2011 Karaka Premier Sale saw Hallmark Stud sell a filly by Darci Brahma from Miss Distinction which was purchased by Connolly Bloodstock for $625,000. Karaka 2012 will see the stud offer 25 yearlings including:

Lot 174

Westbury Stud has a large draft of 115 entries at Karaka 2012 with 30 in the Karaka Premier Sale. Westbury has seen two yearlings receive significant pedigree updates from New Year's Day racing with their dams Make Me Strong (Lot 308 http://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/pedigree.cfm?sale_id=159&lot=308) and Countess Zoya (Lot1201 http://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/sale.cfmped_search=lot&search=1201&sale_id=161) half-sisters to Atomic Force who won the Group 1 Railway Stakes. With a draft that features a good balance of New Zealand and Australian sires, Westbury Stud's line-up includes two entries by More Than Ready from Danehill mares (Lots 304 http://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/pedigree.cfm?sale_id=159&lot=304 and 308). The More Than Ready/Danehill nick is proving potent and has produced three Group 1 winners in Benicio, Dreamaway and New Zealand's Champion First Season Sire Perfectly Ready.
