The first match of the Rose Bowl Series between the White Ferns and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground was washed out today [25 January].
Only 22.3 overs were bowled in the One-Day International with the White Ferns reaching 100 for 2 before the wet weather arrived to force the players from the field.

The White Ferns made a solid start after being put into bat with Frances Mackay and Lucy Doolan putting on 52 for the first wicket.

Mackay struck five boundaries before being dismissed for 25 while Doolan fell for 43 shortly before play was stopped.

Amy Satterwaite was left unbeaten on 23.

The teams meet again for the second of three Rose Bowl fixtures on Friday 27 January at Blacktown International Sportspark, Sydney.
