The second Classic Hits Winery Tour concerts at each of Black Barn Vineyards in Havelock North & Neudorf Vineyards in Upper Moutere have both now sold out, bringing the total number of sell-out concerts to five before the Tour hits the road later this week.
The five shows to sell out on the 17 date nationwide Tour are; Ascension Wine Estate in Matakana on Saturday 4 February, Black Barn Vineyards in Havelock North on Sunday 12 & Monday 13 February and Neudorf Vineyards in Upper Moutere (Nelson) on Thursday 16 & Friday 17 February.
Now in its sixth year, the Winery Tour 2012 features Gin Wigmore, whose recently released album Gravel & Wine has already sold 2 x platinum, along with reunited legends The Mutton Birds & talented newcomers, Avalanche City, who round out the three band bill.
Co–promoter of the Tour, Brent Eccles says selling out five shows before the Tour even kicks off is a reflection of popularity of the Winery Tour brand and the demand for great Kiwi music, in beautiful and safe environments, for the whole family:
“I’m really excited to get this tour on the road. Not only is it proving a hit with the public but I have a feeling that the show itself is going to be a ripper!”
The 17 date Tour commences at Ascension Wine Estate in Matakana on Friday 3 February and concludes at Villa Maria Estate in Auckland on Saturday 3 March. Tickets (and bus/ticket packages) can be purchased via the Winery Tour website www.winerytour.co.nz and Ticketmaster 0800 111 999 or www.ticketmaster.co.nz.
