Church Road Winery celebrates summer with inaugural release of Church Road Hawke's Bay Rosé

Church Road senior winemaker, Chris Scott is excited to announce the inaugural release of the new Church Road Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2011, a limited edition wine to be enjoyed at its freshest over the summer months.
The warm 2011 Hawke’s Bay vintage provided excellent fruit to make the first Church Road Rosé.
“Made from the free-run juice of ripe Hawke’s Bay Merlot and Syrah, this Rosé presents vibrant strawberry and raspberry aromas on the nose with the palest salmon colour,” says Chris Scott, Senior Winemaker.
“On the palate the wine is finely textured and fleshy through the mid palate, balanced by a crisp acidity and lingering finish.”
The wine is best served chilled as an aperitif or with light, fresh summer dishes, picnics and antipasto platters. Church Road Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2011 is available from early February 2012 from leading liquor retailers nationwide, RRP $28.99.
