Serrales takes his first Toyota Racing Series win

Felix Serralles of Puerto Rico has taken his first win of the 2012 Toyota Racing Series, winning this morning's 12 lap sprint ahead of a charging Mitch Evans. Championship leader Nick Cassidy of Auckland held onto fifth place to seal his championship win. Serralles led off pole, with Evans forging through to be second, and a torrid battle ensued, serralles holding off Evans lap after lap with a .4 second advantage.
Series challenger Hannes van Asseldonk went out with a flat tyre after making contact with Josh Hill and Lucas Auer, ending any hope he had of eroding Cassidy's points advantage.
Evans posted fastest lap, a 1:04.477, outside the existing race lap record.
