Maddy Green injury update | Anna Peterson called in

White Ferns management today announced Auckland Hearts player Maddy Green has been ruled out of the rest of the White Ferns series against England.

Green was yesterday confirmed to have a stress fracture in her foot and will leave the team today to go home.

White Ferns physio Rachelle Tapara said that the outlook wasn’t too bad for the talented batsman.

“The good news is that the stress fracture was diagnosed early, meaning prognosis for a full recovery is good,” said Tapara.

Northern Spirit batsmen Anna Peterson will join the team today in Auckland as a replacement for Green.

“Anna showed some good form for the Emerging XI against England in the warm-up matches and thoroughly deserves her call up to the squad,” said Coach Gary Stead.

The White Ferns next play England at Eden Park [today] at 2:45pm. `
