BLENHEIM

Care and Craft is a concept that began as a way of providing company for lonely disabled or otherwise housebound people; today there are Care and Craft Centres all over the country, including Blenheim.

Guests can participate in a wide variety of handcrafts while they socialise. There’s no religious dimension, no paid staff, and costs are kept to a minimum. Helpers organise and staff the centre and morning tea and lunch are provided at a small charge.

Tuition and help is offered for all kinds of handcrafts such as weaving and basket-making, knitting and crochet, card making, knotted rugs and toy making - in a happy, friendly and caring atmosphere.
Care and Craft meets on Mondays, from 9.30am-1.30pm at the Nativity Anglican Church hall.
