The ANZ Championship is delighted to announce a new partnership with information technology company Intergen, who will sponsor the umpires in the trans-Tasman netball league.

The umpires will start the 2012 championship with the support of Intergen, whistling in a three-year sponsorship.

ANZ Championship general manager Andrew Crook said he was thrilled with the newpartnership.

“We are pleased to welcome Intergen on board in support of the umpires,” Crook said. “Having Intergen as a partner will take the ANZ Championship to a new level in technology.”

Intergen director Wayne Forgesson said their three year deal with the ANZ Championship was a logical extension of the company’s existing and growing presence in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are proud to have made this commitment and recognise the effort required byboth players and umpires to achieve the level required to perform in the ANZ Championship,” he said.

“The role of Intergen ANZ Championship umpires is much like an information technology solution within a business – essential to have but not often recognised.”

The ANZ Championship features some of the world’s best netballers over 14 rounds of home and away matches, followed by the fiercely contested Finals Series. The ANZ Championship begins on March 31.
