Yahoo! New Zealand 'Voted Best' Motoring Website

Yahoo! New Zealand’s Auto journalist, Richard Bosselman, has taken home the title of ‘Best Blog/Social Media Channel of 2011’ at the Henry Ford Awards.

Up against some of the country’s most established publishing websites, Bosselman, who has been a motoring journalist for 30 years, is delighted to see the relatively new ‘Yahoo! New Zealand Auto’ site recognised for its quality journalism.

The Henry Ford Awards are the only New Zealand awards dedicated to celebrating excellence in motoring journalism.

Judges commended Bosselman on his compelling content and analysis, as well as his uncanny knack to continually beat competitors to breaking stories.

“It’s such an honour to be recognised with this award, which has only been made possible with the support of Yahoo! New Zealand’s editorial team who are committed to pursuing latest stories within the motoring industry,” Bosselman said.

“Providing compelling and engaging content for our audience is the key goal across all of our channels” Yahoo! New Zealand’s Editor in Chief Marcus Forbes said.

“Richard is extremely passionate about the motoring industry and of course all sorts of vehicles. His enthusiasm creates a fantastic reader experience.”

It’s Richard’s third Henry Award, however the first for the work he has done for Yahoo! New Zealand.

They are judged by independents including Perry Kerr CEO of the Motoring Industry Association, Adrian Blackburn former senior journalist at the NZ Herald and Malcolm Teesdale, husband of the awards founder, the late Louise.
