Yellow Pages Group(r) is today warning of a fax scam (as attached) that is being sent to businesses requesting their information in order to be listed online.

The company, Yellow-Directory-NEWZEALAND, is not part of the Yellow Pages Group(r) and customers should exercise extreme care when engaging with this company. The company lists interests in Hong Kong, United States and the United Kingdom, and the fax campaign has been identified as a scam by the Department of Internal Affairs.

Customers who receive this fax can complain to the Department of Internal Affairs (Anti-Spam Compliance Unit) if the facsimile was sent to them without consent: http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.nsf/wpg_URL/Services-Anti-Spam-Fax-Spa m-Complaints
