The progress result as at 12.30pm for the Amalgamation Poll held on Saturday 21 April is as follows:

Nelson City
The progress result as at 12.30pm for the Amalgamation Poll held on Saturday 21 April is as follows:

| Votes cast AGAINST the Proposal | 7,813 | 43.10% |
| Informal voting documents | 5 | |
| Blank voting documents | 32 | |

The voting return percentage is currently 50.88% being 18,126 votes received.
The preliminary and final results will be announced as soon as possible next week.
