NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) Principal Asset Manager, Dunedin Roger Bailey says 10 minute traffic delays that started on Tuesday 10 April to enable abseil work and helicopter sluicing to remove loose debris will end today.

Good weather during the safety work has meant that work has progressed well and two further areas of loose rock identified immediately prior to the commencement of the safety works have been inspected and scaled during the 11 day period.

Mr Bailey said ensuring the safety of road users was paramount while this work was carried out, and the NZTA thanked drivers for their patience during the traffic delays.
