COMMUNITY SERVICES GRANTS 2012 and COMMUNITY SERVICES PROPERTY GRANTS 2012

Applications for both the Community Services Grants and the Community Services Property Grants through the Napier City Council are now open.

The Community Services Grant is available to voluntary and community based organisations to support essential administration and projects to enhance their community services to benefi t social wellbeing in Napier.

The definition of community service group for this grant is a voluntary charitable social service group whose primary purposes are to contribute to achieving community wellbeing; to alleviating disadvantage on the basis of equity, and who provide a specific community service to a client group or to the public generally.

The Community Services Property Grants are available to any non-profi t social service, cultural or arts club, or organisation that owns or occupies a property for the purposes of providing a specifi c community service to a client group, or to the public generally. Clubs or organisations that own or occupy a property principally to deliver games or sports can also apply.

The closing date for both of these applications is 5.00pm 25 May 2012.

Groups should be aware that the funding of the Community Services Grants is subject to approval at the Napier City Council meeting to be held on 26 June 2012.
