MARLBOROUGH

Winter is pretty much here with leaves dropping and already a number of frosts. Now is the time to drive even more carefully than you usually do and take time to clear windscreens of ice and dew.

Marlborough Roads’ contractors are currently clearing leaves from pavements and are awaiting the final leaf drop before finishing the clean up. If you require some urgent clearing of leaves please ring the Marlborough Roads office.

Roundabout Construction
Contractors have completed all the kerbing for the new roundabout at the intersection of High Street and Alfred Street. The revised road-marking is about to be completed, then only the new stone pavers need to be laid to finish these works. Marlborough Roads were able to get a contractor to start the main works early but unfortunately there is a delay with supply of the stone so final completion will not be for another few weeks.

Activities List
Scott St - Pavement Repairs (One Lane Closures) Redwood Pass - Widening (One Lane Closures)
SH 1 - Guard Rail replacements (Dashwood No2 - One Lane Closures).
Nelson Square - Pavement Repairs (One Lane Closures) Hutcheson Street – Thin asphaltic surfacing (One Lane Closures)
Awatere Valley road - Widening (One Lane Closures)
O'Dwyers - Kerb and Channel replacement
