Update on roading conditions – 18 June

Motorists are being asked to drive with extreme caution as icy conditions have made roads treacherous this morning. There is widespread black ice on the Southland District roading network and signs have been placed at various locations to alert drivers to the danger. Grit is currently being applied to the roads where slippery conditions exist.
