Outstanding rates reminder

MANAWATU District Council ratepayers are reminded that the rating year closes on 30 June 2012 and that an additional penalty of 10 percent will be added to rates unpaid on that date.

In order to avoid incurring penalties, you should clear rates owing as at 30 June.

To minimise the risk of future penalties, council recommends payment of rates instalments by direct debit.

Direct debit payments can be arranged on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or instalment basis.

The bank authority forms are available at MDC’s office at 135 Manchester Street, Feilding, and the council’s website www.mdc.govt.nz.

You can make payments via the internet, at 135 Manchester Street or by posting a cheque to Private Bag, 10-001, Feilding, 4743.
