World Record for Charity is proud to announce that we will once again be attempting to break a world record for a worthy cause – this time to raise funds for Child Cancer Foundation.

Last year World Record for Charity (WRFC), pioneered by Christchurch boy Scott ‘Snap’ Campbell, took a shot at breaking the world record for the “Longest Individual Radio DJ Marathon” to raise funds for Christchurch following the devastating earthquakes that left the city in need of helping hands.

Being a dedicated Radio DJ and proud kiwi were the driving forces behind Snap’s efforts.

His tireless work garnered corporate sponsorship from organisations such as Burger Fuel Courtenay St, deutsche radio 24/sieben, Estadio, Flux and Fault clothing, Duplico Media, Individual Ink, Get Funk'd and Harmans Lawyers.

Over seven consecutive days and 185 hours on-air, with immense sleep deprivation, all while abiding by Guinness records’ strict rules and regulations, those efforts paid off.

While the record was disallowed on a technicality, the attempt raised over $7000.

And now we are going to do it all over again, but with a few changes.

This time WRFC will attempt to break the world record for the “Longest Marathon Radio DJ (team)” with a requirement of just over 73 hours on-air.

And we need your help.

WRFC is seeking a co-host to rise to the occasion with Snap. This will be a rare opportunity for an aspiring fellow Radio DJ to build a profile in the industry and be a part of a world record attempt while contributing to a noble cause. It will also be a lot of fun and he promises to try and behave.

If you think you can talk the talk, send us a two-minute long Skite Reel to Co-Host@WRFC.org.nz for a chance to be a part of history.

Application deadline is 5th Jul 2012.
