Yellow appoints Chris Armistead as permanent CEO

Yellow(r) has today announced the appointment of Mr Chris Armistead as CEO, replacing interim CEO, Mr Scott Pomeroy, from 1 August.



Chairman Andrew Day said that the appointment of a permanent CEO is a core part of the organisation's three year digital transformation strategy which has seen Yellow(r) focus on becoming the number one provider of leads and digital marketing services in New Zealand.



"After a robust global search, we are delighted to appoint Chris as CEO. He is the current Managing Director at Yellow(r) and has been an integral member of the executive team for 12 months, helping transform our business to digital," said Mr Day.



"Chris's unique skill set means he is well-placed to continue to drive Yellow(r)'s three year digital growth strategy. He has a powerful combination of global expertise and knowledge of the New Zealand market. Chris has a fundamental grasp of technology and a deep appreciation of customer needs."



Chris Armistead has 26 years of global experience in the directories industry. Prior to joining Yellow(r), he was an Executive Director at AT&T Interactive working on yellowpages.com products for the National Sales Channel. He has also held senior strategic roles for Sensis Australia and was Managing Director at World Directories (Truvo) for the Netherlands and Portugal.



Mr Armistead said he is delighted to be tasked with completing the organisation's three year digital transformation plan:

Yellow(r) offers tailored digital marketing packages including websites, videos, social media and Google Adwords, as well as its traditional print and online listings.



Chairman Andrew Day praised the strong leadership of Mr Pomeroy as interim CEO.



"Mr Pomeroy has done an outstanding job leading Yellow(r) through the start of its transformation strategy. I would like to thank him for his commitment to the company," he said.



Mr Pomeroy will remain as Director on the Yellow(r) Board.
