Join A Cultural Exchange Visit To Japan

Marlborough’s sister city relationship with the Japanese village of Otari has been running for 21 years.

The Mayor of Otari has issued a personal invitation to the celebrations to mark the anniversary and Marlborough people have the opportunity to join a delegation going to Otari in November.

Marlborough District Councillor Graeme Barsanti is organising the visit.

All travel and accommodation costs must be met by individuals making the trip and the estimated cost is $5000 a head for the 8-10 day tour. The schedule is still being arranged but is expected to take in Tokyo, Tendo and Otari, Hiroshima and Osaka.
