Injured Boatie Winched from his Vessel in a bay D'Urvile Island

A Life Flight Trust team winched an injured boatie from his vessel in Grevile Bay in D’Urville Island.
The Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with a Wellington Free Ambulance paramedic onboard, responded at 07:30 this morning.
The Paramedic was winched onto the boat. After being assessed by the Paramedic they were both winched back into the helicopter and flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department
The Life Flight Trust is a charity providing air rescue and air ambulance services. It operates the Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a national air ambulance service.
