Boil Water Notice - Awatere/Seddon Water Supply

Water in the Awatere and Seddon water supply network is discoloured at present due to flooding in the Blairich catchment. The recently installed MIOX treatment plant is ineffective under these conditions and has been shut down. The water may contain bacteria that are detrimental to human health. All water used for drinking, food preparation or cleaning teeth should be boiled.
