A special Sunday afternoon for dads with under-5s will be held at the Blenheim library this month.

It will be a chance for dads to bring their little ones in for some fun with book-related activities for the pre-school age group.

There will be stories, some rhymes and even a play – and there will also be some craft where dads can help their children get creative.

The afternoon is part of the Active Dads programme in Marlborough which is organised by the S.K.I.P. network (Strategies with Kids, Information for Parents) – funded by the government but based within the community.

Come along from 2.00 pm on Sunday 12 August upstairs at the Marlborough District Library, in the Children's Library section. Free of charge.

An Active Dads Day has already been hosted at the Aquarium in Picton but watch out for more coming up - including a kite-making day at Pollard Park.
