New Zealand's Golden Girl takes Gold

Visa congratulates Team Visa Athlete, Valerie Adams on her gold medal, awarded by the International Olympics Committee (IOC).

Sean Preston, Country Manager for Visa in New Zealand, says the result is great news, not only for Valerie, but also for the sporting industry as a whole.

“We all saw Valerie give her all in the stadium during the shot put finals competition and her disappointment was heart-breaking to watch. This revised result is befitting the calibre of the athlete we know and admire. It is great to see the system working well to keep the sport drug-free.”

Visa has supported Valerie for more than five years, both on a local and global level, as part of the Team Visa Olympic athletes.
