The Taupō District community have searched their cupboards, attics, walls and jewellery boxes to help bring together an eclectic mix of original artwork, numbered prints and costume jewellery that will make up Taupō Museum’s latest exhibition, Second Hanging.

Taupō Museum has previously run two of these exhibitions, which received enthusiastic responses from the public. “The exhibition is a lot of fun,” says Exhibitions Officer Chris Potter. “The range of styles and media is always impressive.”

Those who come to view the exhibition are able to buy all pieces on display, with prices individually set by owners.

Second Hanging will open with a morning tea hosted by Friends of the Lake Taupō Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday 1 September at 11.00am.

Taupō Museum is open daily from 10.00am until 4:30pm
