Erakovic Draws Frenchwoman in US Open

The draw for the 2012 US Open has been made and Marina Erakovic will play French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic who is ranked 152 in the world in the singles first round to start early next week.

Earkovic ranked 54th has never played the 19-year-old Frenchwoman in singles. If she wins her first round match Erakovic would set up a clash with either Slovak Daniela Hantuchova or Russia Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

The women’s top seed is Victoria Azarenka followed by Agnieszka Radwanska, Maria Sharapova and fourth seed is Serena Williams.

Roger Federer is the men’s top seed with Novak Djokovic second, Andy Murray third and David Ferrer fourth.
