Our roading staff have a big job ahead, repairing the damage from the last round of flooding, which has damaged roading infrastructure across the region from D’Urville Island to the Ure Valley.

With more than $1M worth of repairs required it’s likely to be Christmas before the work is finished. The busiest roads, especially those serving schools, will get first priority. That’s going to mean it will be some months before things are back to normal in some areas.

Everyone using the roads is asked to exercise caution, especially if the wet weather continues. Marlborough Roads thanks people for their patience.
