Guest speaker at this year’s Marlborough Health and Safety Expo was motivational coach and health mentor Billy Graham seen to the right with one of the exhibitors, Marlborough District Council’s Emergency Services Officer John Foley.

The Expo was arranged by the Marlborough Health and Safety Forum supported by the Council and Marlborough Chamber of Commerce as a way of advancing workplace safety standards.

Marlborough Mayor Alistair Sowman presented this year’s award for:

  • Best Health and Safety initiative by an organisation going to Nelson Forests for its RADAR safety initiative, Recognise the hazards, Assess risks, Develop a safe solution, Act safely and Report learnings.
  • Most proactive employee, Mark Wills from Pernod Ricard
  • Best Community Initiative, joint winners Clued up Kids and Marlborough Motorcycle Safety Initiative.
