Snickers Campaign Proves Popular

A chocolate bar campaign to let Kiwis know that when you're hungry, you're off your game, has resonated with the hearts, minds - and stomachs - of New Zealanders, thanks to the mean hunger of Paul Henry.

The 2012 integrated global campaign, which incorporates TV advertising, PR and digital activity, has proved an immediate success, with a significant online reach and fascination from both Kiwi and international audiences.

More than 12,000 Kiwis have already downloaded the YouTube clip within the campaigns first week.

Building on the success of previous Snickers campaigns featuring international celebs such as Betty White, Paul Henry's mean hunger debut in the 2012 integrated global campaign has proved a hit with Kiwi and international audiences.

Total Media's Lyndsey Francis, says she's excited to see how quickly Kiwis have embraced the new TVC.

"We are delighted with the way the campaign has appealed to the hearts, minds - and stomachs - of Kiwis! The fact that it has more than 12,000 YouTube views is fantastic both for a local TVC and also relative to the total viewing of the original Snickers Betty White commercial."

Snickers Marketing Manager, Andrea Aguilar, says the campaign was developed from the common idea that when you're hungry, you're off your game!

The global campaign was brought to life with an impressive list of international A-listers including; Betty White, Joe Pesci, Aretha Franklin, Liza Minnelli and Joan Collins who have featured in commercials in more than 56 markets.

Snickers is one of the world's biggest selling chocolate bars and one of the top selling bars in New Zealand.
