WANAKA

Families and small groups can now enjoy affordable luxury at its best thanks to the introduction of a new room type offering at Wanaka’s Tiritiri Lodge.

Located in the ‘lifestyle reserve’ of Lake Wanaka in New Zealand’s South Island, Tiritiri Lodge has six rooms -- three deluxe rooms featuring king beds in the main wing and three suites in the ‘West Wing’ -- in total capable of hosting up to 16 guests at any one time.

Lodge host and owner Stephanie Pursley said Tiritiri recognised the need to provide suitable accommodation for families and more than two adults in the luxury market, so had set about providing flexible configurations to ensure those groups could enjoy their stay.

“We’ve spacious grounds and a number of outdoor courtyards around the two wings of the lodge,” she said.

”Families are catered for in the West Wing while couples can enjoy their peace and privacy in the Main Wing. Three separate guest living areas means there’s plenty of choice for those looking for peace and quiet, or those who are happy to interact with others staying at the lodge.”

Ms Pursley said the suites were all unique and each offered something quite different depending on guest requirements.

“We liaise with guests when they first enquire to ensure we allocate them the best rooms to suit their needs. For example, the separate living and kitchen area in the West Wing where families can do some of their own meal preparation enables parents to relax with their children without stress.”

All six sun-drenched rooms and suites at Tiritiri Lodge face North and have balconies overlooking snowcapped mountains. Beautiful king-size beds boast exquisite Italian Frette linen, goose down duvets and richly exotic velvet spreads.

An enclosed spa area with its own bathroom overlooks a beautiful waterfall that lights up in the evening, a perfect sanctuary after a day’s skiing and an area for children to enjoy too.

Tiritiri Lodge prides itself on providing exceptional hospitality and affordable luxury.

“When you stay at Tiritiri Lodge the tariff includes all incidentals,” said Ms Pursley. “Included are complimentary beverages, soft drinks and afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and appetizers. We’re very much hospitality-driven and pride ourselves on anticipating every need.”

Acclaimed by guests, brilliant catering is provided by Sydney-trained Lodge Executive Chef Tiffany Firth whose philosophy of ‘keep it fresh, keep it simple and cook to season’ ensures they enjoy exquisite South Island cuisine.

The Tiritiri Lodge team invites guests to take advantage of spring three and five night packages that include:

Accommodation in a Deluxe Suite West Wing room, in-room massage, three-course meal matched to fine local wines prepared by Chef, gourmet breakfast daily, delicious afternoon tea daily and evening appetisers accompanied by fine local wines. Use of all lodge facilities is also included along with complimentary Wi-Fi and beverages.
Cost for two people starts from $2000.

Offer valid until 30th November 2012.
