Mad Hatters raise funds for Alzheimers at Botanica

It’s World Alzheimer’s Day on Friday 21 September and the Mad Hatters at Botanica Whangarei are showing their support for the Northland branch of the Alzheimer’s charity by having a fund raising tea party with all profits from the sale of special tea party cupcakes going to Alzheimer’s New Zealand.

"Why not take this opportunity to make a visit to our wonderful facility; a peaceful oasis in the hustle and bustle of town, have a game of flamingo croquet and support a very valuable local charity," suggests WDC Conservatory Manager Helen Cairns.

"We’re also happy to be able to offer a little daytime treat to some of our older residents thanks to the kind sponsorship of Morris & Morris Funerals Ltd. Guests from our local rest homes have been invited to take tea with us and we’re grateful to Morris & Morris for their kind contribution.

"So come along to Botanica (Council’s conservatory and filmy fern house) on First Avenue from 10am on Friday 21 September and treat yourself to a cupcake or two or three or four… and a free cup of tea!"
