Marlborough Environment Awards - New Category

The 2012/2013 Marlborough Environment Awards, supported by the Marlborough District Council, are open to entries from businesses, community groups and individuals. The Awards recognise good examples of people protecting and enhancing the environment and using resources and energy efficiently.

This year there is a new category, Community Innovation and Sustainable Living, sponsored by Solar Electric Technology, aimed at projects by community or non-profit groups and residents who are going the extra mile with energy efficiency.

The categories are:

• Farming
• Forestry
• Winegrowing/Horticulture
• Landscape/Habitat Enhancement
• Business Innovation
• Community Innovation/Sustainable Living

Entries close on October 26, 2012.

Prizes $1000-$3000. With Entry form and other information in the Environment Awards section of this website.
