The all-new Holden Volt, Holden’s long-range electric vehicle, is hitting the road for the typical Kiwi road trip.

The Holden Volt will be travelling the length of the country to showcase its extended range capability and how easy it is to charge with a normal power point. Before it leaves Auckland, the Volt will be charging up at a Britomart bus stop outside Westfield downtown, which has been specially equipped with a normal plug found in all New Zealand homes.

Aucklanders are being encouraged to check out the car, that takes around $2.72 to run per day. Holden team members will be onsite to talk about the cutting edge technology and while there, people can charge their phone or iPods in the bus stop’s active power point.

Times that the car will be at the Britomart bus stop:

Thursday 1st November
7:30am – 8.30am
4.30pm – 6.00pm

Friday 2nd November
7.30am – 8.30am
12.30pm – 3pm

Monday 5th November
7.30am – 8.30am
4.30pm – 6.00pm
