Marlborough Women's Triathlon 2012
Shape up for summer by getting fit for the 2012 Marlborough Women’s Triathlon. The event starts with a 5km run then a 14km cycle and finishing with a 100m swim, and is a great way to get fit and have fun at the same time.
Enter as an individual, or get a team together – team up with your mum or your daughter for the mother and daughter category, or choose to enter a business or a fun team – each team member in these categories will complete the entire event so you’ll have some good training buddies. Alternatively, enter as a relay team – one member will complete the run stage of the event, while the other does the cycle and swim.
Trophies include overall winner and oldest finisher, plus a number of other categories. Competitors with a disability are eligible for the Peak Fuel Award, and there’s also the Cheryl-Anne Thompson Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Personal Achievement, which will be awarded to someone who has shown great commitment and beaten the odds to participate this year – if you know of someone you feel is worthy of this trophy, nominate her by emailing info@gomarlborough.net.nz
There will also be spot prizes on the day, but perhaps the biggest prize of all will be the satisfaction of stepping up, and knowing that you did it, you completed the 2012 Marlborough Women’s Triathlon!
