Intriguing Perceptions -  two leading artists combine for an interesting Nelson art show

An art exhibition opens in Nelson on Tuesday 20 March and features new work from Lisa Chandler (painter) and Cindy Flook (photographer).

Lisa, a recent graduate from the Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, says:
“I can't wait to show my large-scale paintings to my local community. My art has changed dramatically over the past two years and portrays the busy, transitional urban spaces that we all pass through.”

Cindy's latest series, ‘Perception and Illusion,’ concentrates on abstract ideas of disclosure and uncertainty rather than perfect images or documentary photography. The results are unfamiliar and intriguing views of recognisable subjects. Cindy graduated in 2007 with a Master of Fine Arts from RMIT in Melbourne.
